OUR MISSION

The main objective of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is not only to analyze the classics but also to examine today’s works from a more recent perspective. Both the graduate and undergraduate curricula have been designed in accordance with current trends in literary studies, and are under the guidance of the distinguished faculty members in the department. Not only does the department hold a unique place amongst its counterparts around the world due to its large student population of 600, but it also has a special place thanks to the programs and the cultural activities carried out within the department.

Turkish is the medium of instruction in the 4-year degree program. If they wish, students can register in the department right away, without having to go through the English Preparatory School program prior to pursuing freshman courses. (More...)
