Summary:
This course introduces students to human behaviours ranging from what is considered culturally “normal” to “abnormal.” Specific categories of mental disorders, as specified in the DSM-IV, are analyzed in detail. Socio-political implications of specific prognoses are also explored.

Description:
PSYC342 - Psychopathology is an overview of human problems ranging from minor problems in adjustment to severely disabling disorders; primary foci are on research findings relevant to assessment, etiology, prognosis and management.
