Description:
This course is designed to introduce the main issues in Philosophy, and to the most influential views on these issues in the history of Philosophy. The course will offer an overview of major philosophical themes as a necessary foundation for a fuller appreciation of literary works. Students will be expected to develop and communicate, both orally and in writing, their own carefully reasoned arguments and views on the topics discussed.
