Fen ve Edebiyat Fakültesi Kuzey Kıbrıs'daki yüksek öğretimin en büyüklerinden biridir, ve doğal bilimler, matematik ve psikolojiden sosyal bilimlere, beşeri bilimlere ve çeviriye kadar çok geniş bir yelpazedeki disiplerin eğitiminin verildiği kesinlikle en büyük merkezdir. Fen ve Edebiyat Fakülteisinin kökleri, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesinin kurulduğu 1980'li yıllarının ortalarına kadar gider. Bu gelenek dolayısıyla bizden öncekilerin değerli başarılarını muhafaza etmek görevimizdir, ancak eğitimi çağdaşlaştırma ve geleceğin meydan okumalarına karşı koyabilme zorunluluğu bizi yeni çözümler aramaya itmektdir. Halen eski akademik alanları yenileme, yeni Türkçe müfredatları başlatma ve doktora programlarımızı zenginleştirme gibi görevler bizi bekliyor. Fen ve Edebiyat Fakültesi, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesinin en çok uluslarası özelliği olan fakültesidir.


The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is one of the largest institutions of higher learning in the North Cyprus and certainly the largest centre for the study of wide spectrum of disciplines from natural sciences, mathematics and psychology to social sciences, humanities and translation. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences traces its roots back to mid of 1980s, when the Eastern Mediterranean University was just founded. Because of this tradition, we are obliged to preserve all the worthy accomplishments of our predecessors, yet the necessity to modernize the education and meet the challenges of the future push us to seek our new solutions. At this time, we are faced with the task of modernizing old fields of study, introducing new Turkish curricula and enriching our postgraduate programs. Faculty of Arts and Sciences is the most international faculty at Eastern Mediterranean University.
